In (bio-) medicine, data is generated in large quantities, and it is crucial to extract relevant information from it. Computers allow large-volume data to be searched systematically in order to develop relevant information.

A digital biomarker is a characteristic or set of characteristics, collected from digital health technologies, that is measured as an indicator of normal biological processes, pathogenic processes, or responses to an exposure or intervention, including therapeutic interventions.

In the course we understand the definition of digital biomarkers and learn how to develop and use these in real clinical scenarios.
