Socio-Technological systems (e.g., energy, transportation, supply, information, etc.) are critical, highly connected infrastructures forming the backbone of our modern society. Disruptions and breakdowns of one of more of these systems may cause serious economic, social and political consequences. This indicates the urgency and importance to build more resilient systems to mitigate potential impacts of, for example, natural disasters, technical failures, human errors, and intentional attacks. This course explores the concept of resilience and its application to socio-technical systems.
