This module examines systems relevant to the food industry, including technologies and processes that are connected to food value creation (local and global) which were explored in the Food Tech Architecture module. The students learn how relevant technologies and processes in food systems are related and to recognise dependencies and synergies. The students not only learn to recognise such systems, but also to describe, outline, implement and evaluate them. Relevant systems as well as practical examples are explained. The aim is also to adapt and optimise existing systems in order to make them more regenerative and efficient. Practice-oriented learning is guaranteed by close cooperation with experts from the stakeholder environment, in hands-on exercises students outline regenerative business models and implement them in an exemplary manner.
