This course provides an understanding of the importance and application of data standards in healthcare. Students will learn how standardized data formats and protocols improve the quality of patient care, facilitate the exchange of health information and contribute to increased efficiency in healthcare. Through a mixture of theoretical principles and practical examples, students will be able to recognize and address the challenges and opportunities arising from the implementation and use of data standards.
