The module extends the basics of statistical modelling (i.e., multiple
linear regression). It introduces the families of generalized linear and
additive models (GLM, GAM) as well as statistical models for the
analysis of time-to-event data. Aspects of model structure, inference,
model assessments, and model development are considered theoretically
and in concrete case studies, e.g., from the fields of marketing and
insurance.
